Corporate Statement on Internal Compliance
As a national authorized import and export service provider of aviation defense products, China National Aero-Technology Import & Export Corporation (CATIC) is fully aware of the company's non-proliferation responsibility and internal compliance obligations. CATIC firmly commits to the non-proliferation export control and military export laws & regulations of the Chinese government, and unconditionally supports China's international commitments, obligations and relevant resolutions of the UN Security Council.
In order to accomplish its non-proliferation responsibility and internal compliance obligation, CATIC has established and implemented an Internal Compliance Program, to effectually prevent the proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction(WMD) and their means of delivery, and control the proliferation risks of conventional weapons, dual-use items and technologies, intangible technology transfer and deemed export.
CATIC has formulated the corporate Internal Compliance Program based on the <CATIC ICP management manual>, to ensure the efficient implementation of its export control system. The company has set up the Export Control Council and ICP Office, created the standard process of order screening and document management, and carried out internal compliance training programs for all employees.
CATIC holds firmly the position that proliferation of any kind, including that of WMD and their means of delivery , is conducive neither to world peace & stability nor to China’s security, and is absolutely contrary to CATIC’s core value of pursuing sustainable growth, maintaining a positive international reputation, and undertaking social responsibility. CATIC regards herself as an active force of nonproliferation in the international community.
To ascertain what products, technology and services, as well as which customer and end-user, should be regarded as sensitive, CATIC maintains close contact with all concerned Chinese government agencies, relevant NGOs and nonproliferation & export control experts for information, instruction and advice. CATIC attaches great importance to international cooperation of nonproliferation, and actively participates in experience sharing of optimum practice.
This statement applies to all divisions and subsidiaries of CATIC worldwide. This policy statement will be reviewed and revised continually to incorporate the latest development of nonproliferation and export control.
