The Defense &Security 2019 was held from November 11 to 18 in Bangkok, Thailand. The State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defence (SASTIND) organized 7 Chinese military trade companies to attend the event as China Military Industry Pavilion. As part of the pavilion, CATIC’s first appearance at the exhibition will play an active role in the promotion of international cooperation with the Southeastern region and strengthening of the product/technology exchange.

The CATIC’s exhibits include the models as WL-1 UAV, Y-9E transport aircraft, JF-17 single seat fighter, L-15 advanced trainer, Z-10ME and Z-9WE helicopters as well as SD-10A and PL-5DE air-to-air missiles, AG-300/M and TL-2 air-to-ground missiles, which showcase the AVIC’s mature products and advanced technology.
The high level government and military delegations from various countries visited the CATIC’s stand. And also the exhibits attracted professional visitors from various services. Admiral Wei Fenghe, State Councilor and Defense Minister of China, who was attending the 10th China-ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Informal Meeting in Bangkok, and the other high level leaders visited the stand.
As one of the most influential defense exhibitions in the South Eastern region, the Defense & Security Exhibition has obtained attention from more and more countries. This event attracted over 500 advanced military equipment and security equipment manufacturers from 50 countries and regions. 28 countries including the UK, France, Italy, South Korea, Israel and South Africa set up their own pavilion.
On November 17, 2019, the 16th Dubai Airshow opened at the Al Maktoum International Airport. Over 1,200 global aerospace companies were present following with the splendid flight demonstration lasting 3 hours.
Themed by New Capability, New Journey for Win-Win with Customers, AVIC exhibited 14 key products and systems in 7 categories, demonstrating the AVIC’s strength of foreign aviation trade products. At the stand, visitors can have a close look at various aircraft models – JF-17/FC-1 single seat fighter, L-15 advanced trainer, FTC-2000 advanced trainer, Z-10ME and Z-11E and Z-9 WE attack helicopters, Y-9E transporter, MA70, Y-12 F and Y12-E. The U8EW strike and reconnaissance UAV and J-10CE became the focus of attention. Also, the Wing Loong I and Wing Loong II full size UAV models at the static area attracted the media and customers.
As one of the important platforms that showcase the prospect, technology and updated news of the current aerospace industry, the Dubai Airshow radiates the Middle Eastern and African markets and greatly promotes the exploration of the CATIC’s international market.
